Source hierarchy

Movement specifications are checked against manufacturer technical material where available. Genuine-watch references are checked against the relevant manufacturer. Swiss Made origin rules are checked against Swiss federal or industry sources. Seller claims are presented as claims unless independently supported.

02

How older content is handled

This domain contains topics first written many years ago. Historical examples are retained when they still add value, but old prices, movement assumptions and “latest model” language are removed or dated. Modern specifications are not copied onto older watches as if they were the same reference.

03

Commercial links

Links whose purpose is to send a reader to a retailer use rel="nofollow sponsored". Editorial citations to ETA, Swiss authorities and watch manufacturers are kept separate from commercial links.

04

Corrections and uncertainty

When a movement identity cannot be supported, the article should describe it as a claim rather than a fact. When a genuine-watch family contains several references, specifications are tied to the exact reference being discussed instead of being generalized to the whole collection. Older archive material is updated when modern manufacturer information conflicts with it.

05

What counts as useful evidence

Published movement dimensions, official watch specifications, clear movement photographs, functional video, timegrapher readings and individual pressure tests each answer different questions. No single item is treated as universal proof. For example, a timegrapher can describe condition but cannot identify ETA from beat rate alone; a genuine-reference water rating does not establish replica water resistance.

Editorial scope

The site focuses on movement claims, case/dial consequences and buyer QC. It does not authenticate genuine watches, certify replica factories or provide legal advice. Brand names and movement names are used for identification and technical comparison.
