Why this site now focuses on movement evidence
AAA Swiss ETA began as an older static site about replica watches advertised with ETA movements. Much of the original material treated “Swiss ETA” and “AAA+” as conclusions. The 2026 revision keeps the movement focus but changes the method: claims are compared with published calibre geometry, genuine-reference specifications and individual-watch QC.
What we cover
The site concentrates on ETA 2824-2, the slim 2892 family, Valjoux 7750 chronographs, the legal difference between Swiss movement and Swiss Made, and three historical model themes from the original site: Omega De Ville, Porsche Design and Cartier Tank.
What we do not claim
We do not certify sellers, factories or watches. We do not treat movement engraving, “AAA+” labels or genuine-watch specifications as proof that a replica has the same origin, construction or performance. Commercial retailer links are marked sponsored.
Why the site keeps model files alongside calibre files
A movement cannot be judged in isolation from the watch around it. ETA 7750 is historically relevant to some Porsche Design chronographs, while the same movement could create the wrong thickness or subdial geometry in another watch. Modern Omega De Ville and Cartier Tank references also show why an ETA movement can be mechanically sound without matching the architecture of the current genuine watch.
The model files therefore use genuine specifications as design constraints and then evaluate what a replica movement choice changes. Genuine specifications are never presented as performance claims for the replica itself.
How commercial links are separated from editorial sources
